January 30, 2012 - The information for the 24th Annual International
Folk Alliance Conference on the concert schedule
has been updated, and a new performance date in Memphis, TN has been added
to the schedule! Stay tuned for more information!
"Hello everyone! As you can see, I have been in the studio working on my third solo project which is being scheduled for an April or May release. The tracks and my vocals are all done and we are now in the mixing phase. We still have to shoot the cover and get the artwork going. I thought you might enjoy a few photographs from the session. I was fortunate to have my mother visiting from Russia so she could help watch my children while I was in the studio.
Before I know it I will be heading to Memphis for the 24th Annual Folk Alliance Conference at the end of February where I will be an official showcase artist and doing six other showcases for promoters and venue owners which will hopefully bring me to your area in the near future. I'll also have a chance to meet many of the DJs who played "Balancing Act" and thank them in person. In the meantime, we'll be working hard to finish this record and get it ready for release. Love, N"

http://musiccityroots.com/live-stream April 6, 2011 - There's a new interview with Natasha in Nashville Hype, one of Nashville's most popular music blogs! The article is entitlled "Natasha Borzilova Learning Life is a Balancing Act". You can check out the full article at http://nashvillehype.com/blog/natasha-borzilova-learning-life-is-a-balancing-act/ March 28, 2011 - Natasha's newest newsletter hits the web! "Hello! So...here we are almost at the end of March already and I am so behind on updating you on everything that's going on in my life! I have a good excuse though! :) As many of you know, I had my baby boy on February 16. Miles was five days late and I about lost my mind waiting for him to arrive! The only positive thing I remember from that was the (almost equally) long awaited airing of my interview on Art of the Song which aired on two hundred public radio stations. If you missed it on the radio, you can still listen to it in the archives on their official website archive link. Five songs from Balancing Act were featured in the piece (one of them--Water and Wood--recorded live during the interview) and lots and lots of talking about the creative process behind the album and songwriting in general.
TOURING Speaking of touring...we just added a new show in Manhattan, Kansas on June 4. I've been invited to play their summer concert series in the park. There's gonna be some serious road tripping this summer and I intend to bring my Mom and my tiny son with me to the shows in Kansas in June and Florida in July. I don't know if I'm looking forward to hours in the car with an infant, but you gotta do what you gotta do, right? You can find all the information about the shows on my official website. In April I'll be playing at Moonlight on the Mountain again and this time with singer songwriter Louise Mosrie who had a #1 Folk album called Home in 2010. On April 30 I will be playing a solo show at Woodsongs Coffeehouse in Dalton, GA in a renovated train depot which should be interesting. I've heard some very nice things about this venue. MUSIC ON BANDBOX! I'm happy to say we are now selling my music direct on my website through Bandbox. You can order physical CDs and we'll ship them to you or you can download the digital album as well as buy downloads of individual songs. Here is the store link on my site and we also have the widget up on my Facebook music page. Below is what the widget looks and of course you can still order them on all the online sites like Amazon.com, CDBaby.com and iTunes. ANOTHER REVIEW It was nice to have Balancing Act reviewed favorably on the Swedish music ezine Luna Kafe by Anna Maria Stjärnel. You can click here to read what she wrote. And that's about it for now. I hope your spring is hurrying up! I can't wait for it to come and stay (it's indecisive here in Nashville)! Stay healthy and happy! Love, N" February 28, 2011 - A new performance date has been added to the Concert Schedule. Those of you in sunny Kansas can look forward to a great show at "Arts in the Park" this June! Arts in the Park is a free, summer, outdoor concert series that is open to the public. It takes place most weekends in the summer at the Larry Norvell Band Shell in the Manhattan City Park Check out the
Concert Schedule for details. February 23,
2011 - Natasha is once again a proud mother of a brand new baby boy named
Miles. He came into this world at 2:30AM on February 16!
Also, check out the recent
reviews of Cheap Escape from Russian Life Magazine and Luna Kafe in the
reviews section!
January 20,
2011 - Natasha has a new newsletter issue out!
I hope your holidays were joyful and
restful with plenty of good things to eat but no consequences to the
waistline!
We enjoyed the very
first white Christmas I have ever had in Nashville and now I'm just a few
weeks away from the arrival of my second child and let me tell you, I am
ready to be over with this final stage. Perpetuating the stereotypes of
nesting, I've been caught in a knitting daze. I thought I would include
pictures of some of the things I made for my family (I decided to make all
the Christmas gifts this year) as I watched close to 200 episodes of The X-Files. ![]()
While I
was busy discovering the truth and giving myself carpal tunnel syndrome, my
publisher/booking agent Kathy Sacra-Anderson began working on putting some
tour dates together. I'm happy to report my touring calendar is filling up a
bit. If you live in or near one of the places I'm gonna visit in the spring
or summer, I hope to see you at the shows!"

Individual tracks: .99
cents each Also, read on for the latest (and very
exciting) news from Natasha... I
hope you're enjoying the cooler weather and the fact that we're in the
home stretch of the most exciting season of the year! Just wanted to
give you a few updates on what I've been doing since the last
newsletter. The
album is doing really well on folk radio, all the feedback I'm getting
from the DJs is VERY positive and some even started playing songs from
"Cheap Escape" all over again after they heard this one. So the last
few weeks I dusted off my Garage Band and I've been busy doing station
identification bits for them (as in, "Hi, I'm Natasha Borzilova and
you're listening to...") I was also very happy to find out that most of
these stations are affiliated with universities or NPR which I listen to
every day. The
October Folk DJ charts came out and we were amazed and excited to find
"Balancing Act" at #9 out of 65 on the Top Album chart and my name at #8
in the Top Artist chart, sharing the list with such incredible artists
as Bob Dylan, Judy Collins, John Prine, The Steeldrivers, The Beatles,
& Robert Plant to name a few. In the Top Songs of October chart,
"Ghost" was #9 and "End of September" was #16. The charts are comprised
from actual playlists submitted and in October the data came from 13,215
spins reported by 151 DJs. I'm including the charts in the newsletter
so you can be amazed and excited with me. :) It's been pretty incredible
to see my name on playlists with artists like Shawn Colvin and Suzanne
Vega. I
also wanted to share with you a video clip of me performing "Ghost" the
night of the CD release party at Third & Lindsley. I'm due in early February (please, don't say
it's gonna be on Valentine's Day!) and if my beloved Titans go to the Super
Bowl (as I believe every year even when we're 0-6 hehe) the baby might
arrive sometime in the second half, depending on who's winning.:))) Anyway, I plan to resume touring in April.
We're already working on some shows and radio appearances scheduled for next
spring. And that's all the news I have for now.
Check out the charts! Love, N" To receive the newsletter, we invite you to sign up for Natasha's mailing
list below! November 4,
